# Why was Drake Maye snubbed for AFC Offensive Player of the Week despite his 5-touchdown game?

I checked the wiki and couldn't find anything about this specific award snub — there's no page or news item about a 5-touchdown game from Maye or the AFC Offensive Player of the Week decision. The wiki's latest on him is his **Week 4 redemption** (Oct 12): a "dominant Week 4 performance vs Buffalo (29-26 OT win)" that drew praise from Vrabel and fellow QBs (from the Drake Maye page).

So I can't give you the actual reasoning for the Player of the Week snub — that specific story isn't in our coverage, and I don't want to invent a reason. If you tell me which week/game you're referring to, I can dig into the relevant news around that time.
