Danny Barrett enters his eighth season as running backs coach for the Houston Texans in 2025 and his third as assistant head coach/running backs. He owns 42 years of experience spanning the NFL, the Canadian Football League and collegiate ranks, including 28 seasons as a coach. In 2024 he guided RB Joe Mixon to a Pro Bowl season (1,016 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns). He previously coached Devin Singletary, Dameon Pierce, David Johnson and Carlos Hyde during his Houston tenure, which began in 2018.
