Dave Canales

Dave Canales

Head Coach, Carolina Panthers (CAR).

Quick Facts

Background

Dave Canales was hired as the head coach of the Carolina Panthers on January 25, 2024, becoming the seventh head coach in franchise history. Canales came to Carolina after serving as offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2023). He spent his first 13 seasons in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks (2010-22) in various roles on the offensive side of the ball.

Scheme & Fantasy Angle

Canales is an offense-minded head coach who developed quarterbacks in Seattle and Tampa Bay before taking over Carolina's young offense led by Bryce Young. His track record building quarterback-friendly schemes makes the Panthers' passing game a unit fantasy managers watch for development.
