Background
Andy Reid is an experienced NFL head coach who has led the Kansas City Chiefs and is currently overseeing their 2026 offseason program, including OTA practices and mandatory minicamp activities.
Scheme and Tendencies
Historically a creative offensive mind known for innovative play-calling and misdirection. However, Sports Illustrated's 2026 HC rankings place Reid at #2 overall (only behind Sean McVay), though the article notes he "struggled to find the right formula last year." Reid is 68 years old and faces questions about whether he can refresh his scheme to create easy yardage through clever design and increase under-center run game usage. The Chiefs re-hired offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to replace Matt Nagy for 2026, along with coaching changes at RB and WR positions, signaling need for tactical adjustments.
