PHI A.J. Epenesa
NFL player. Position: Defensive End (DE). Team: Philadelphia Eagles.
Quick Facts
- Position: Defensive End
- Team: Philadelphia Eagles
2026 Outlook
Epenesa may be available on the trade market before the deadline. After struggling to find a role in Philadelphia's edge room, he's emerged as a potential trade candidate. The Atlanta Falcons are considered a fit—their defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich's aggressive scheme could better utilize Epenesa's pass-rush skills. As a veteran with career-relevant production (139 tackles, 24 sacks across 94 games), he could provide cheap depth help for contending teams. However, in Week 5 against Jacksonville, Epenesa stepped up when called upon after Jalyx Hunt's injury, delivering a dominant performance with two sacks and two forced fumbles in the first half alone, proving he can still be impactful when given the opportunity. (per Eagles star suffers worrying injury)
Role / Depth Chart
- Current role: Edge rusher competing for snaps
- Ahead on depth chart: Jonathan Greenard, Nolan Smith, Jalyx Hunt
