2026 Outlook
Ben Brown is the Patriots' starting center heading into the 2026 season. He suffered a lower-body injury in the preseason opener against Indianapolis on August 13, 2026, but coach Mike Vrabel did not believe the injury was major. "I don't think it's anything too serious, but I also don't want to speculate until we're able to do some more tests," Vrabel said. Brown was replaced by undrafted rookie Jacob Rizy in the game. With interior OL depth concerns on the Patriots roster, his status will be monitored closely before Week 1 (per Patriots Appeared to Avoid Disaster With Pair of OL Injuries).
