Signed by Giants in offseason to compete for starting role opposite Paulson Adebo. Newsome has thrived in man-to-man coverage schemes — particularly his time in Cleveland under then-defensive leadership — and figures to benefit from Dennard Wilson's aggressive, press-heavy defensive scheme. However, 2025 was down relative to his peak, with limited coverage success and allowed critical completions for both Browns and Jaguars. Will be asked to regain the form he had at his zenith in Cleveland, which would make him an upper-tier cornerback.
