2026 Outlook
Jaycee Horn has emerged as one of the league's premier cornerbacks heading into 2026, notching five interceptions in 2025—tied for second-most league-wide and leading all cornerbacks. Horn's combination of size, length, competitiveness, toughness, and football intelligence makes him a consistent lockdown option. Coaches respect his physical, aggressive approach: "When you go against him, you better be ready for a street fight. Physical, strong, can play press coverage. Ain't always flashy but really rugged player" (per Best of Social: Several Panthers make NFL Top 10 list - Carolina Panthers). Horn's two-year partnership with safety Mike Jackson has produced the league's most productive secondary duo back-to-back, combining for nine interceptions and 27 passes defended in 2025.
Role / Depth Chart
Outside cornerback, starter. Primary lock-down corner for Carolina's defense.
Injury Status
Quad injury suffered during Week 3 vs Cleveland. Placed on injured reserve Wednesday following the game—ineligible for at least four weeks. Pro Bowl status and years of productivity make his absence a major blow to the secondary (per Panthers' mounting injuries among most concerning in NFL - pantherswire.usatoday.com).
