2026 Outlook
Delane dinged his shoulder during OTAs, missed mandatory minicamp, and worked individual footwork drills on the sideline without a helmet. Delane will start immediately for KC as CB1 after the team lost McDuffie and Watson. Injury Status
Shoulder blade injury from OTAs with slow recovery progression. Didn't put on pads until late Aug; just cleared for contact Aug 13, but no chance against Rams on Aug 15 due to recent clearance. August 18 return to full contact: Delane returned to full contact work with the starting defense during training camp practice, performing in all drills and receiving positive feedback from HC Andy Reid: "He was in all the drills and looked good.
