SF Romello Height
NFL player. Position: EDGE (Edge Rusher). Team: SF (San Francisco 49ers).
Quick Facts
- Position: EDGE
- Team: SF (San Francisco 49ers)
- Draft: 2026 NFL Draft (49ers)
2026 Outlook
Edge rusher selected by San Francisco in 2026 draft to inject youth into the pass rush. Undersized for the position but will have a defined role in coordinator Raheem Morris' defensive scheme. Part of the 49ers' effort to address their league-low 20 sacks from 2025. (per Six Teams That May Already Regret Their 2026 NFL Draft Decisions).
Broken hand injury ends early-season availability (Sept 25): Height suffered a broken hand in the Week 2 win over the Dolphins and was ruled out for Week 3 and beyond. As a third-round rookie, Height was being developed alongside Nick Bosa as part of the 49ers' pass-rush plan, but the early injury sidelines him during a critical period when the 49ers' defensive line is already decimated. With five of ten initial defensive linemen now on IR and Mykel Williams ineligible for PUP return until Week 5, Height's absence compounds the pass-rush depth crisis. (per 49ers have been able to withstand injuries so far — but not Nick Bosa's).
