HOU Xavier Hutchinson

- Bye week (2026): 8
- Contract status: Entering a contract season; could be playing for a new deal in Houston or elsewhere
2026 Outlook
Fourth-year receiver stepping into expanded role after Jayden Higgins' preseason ACL tear. Hutchinson has spent three seasons as a reliable fourth option behind Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell, and Higgins. With Higgins sidelined for the full season, Hutchinson is now the primary internal replacement and "next man up" in the Texans passing game. Entering a contract season with everything to prove—he'll be competing not just for snaps but for his next deal in Houston or elsewhere. The Texans also added veteran Kayshon Boutte via trade from the Patriots (Aug 24) to fill the void, suggesting Hutchinson may split opportunities with Boutte rather than emerging as a true WR2. Role / Depth Chart
WR3/WR4 for Houston Texans following Jayden Higgins' ACL tear. Internal option in a crowded receiver room that includes Nico Collins (WR1), Tank Dell (WR2 when healthy), and newly acquired Kayshon Boutte. Also competing with Jaylin Noel (who has been limited with finger strain and hamstring issues) and Jared Wayne for snaps.
Injury Status
Healthy as of late August 2026 preseason.

Open Questions
- Will Hutchinson emerge as a relevant weekly fantasy option, or will he be limited to depth snaps behind Boutte?
- Can he capitalize on a contract-year opportunity and land a starting role elsewhere in 2027?
