2026 Outlook
Year 2 on the hot seat. Glenn completely overhauled his coaching staff after a historically bad 3-14 season, replacing 12 of 22 assistants including hiring new offensive and defensive coordinators. He'll take over defensive play-calling himself — "To me, play-calling is my superpower," he said — a role he didn't handle in 2025. The additions of David Bailey, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and offensive line bolstering give him tools, and new Frank Reich (OC) praise for QB Geno Smith suggests the offense may improve, but ownership concerns and the 15-year playoff drought limit optimism (per NFL offseason power rankings — Jets No. 31).
2026 Priorities
- Rebuild defensive identity (already got zero interceptions last season)
- Establish consistent quarterback play with Geno Smith
- Develop young talent (David Bailey, Kenyon Sadiq)
- Show Year 2 improvement to save his job
