Background

Brian Young enters his second season as the Saints' assistant defensive line coach and his 17th campaign as a member of the coaching staff. Young has worked with all of the club's front seven position groups after first breaking into the ranks as a coaching assistant in 2009, following a nine-year NFL playing career on the defensive line. In 2025 he worked with Defensive Line Coach Bo Davis in the team's move to a 3-4 front, as the Saints improved from 31st to sixth in opponent rushing yards per play.
