Background

Cameron Brown is in his third season as a 49ers defensive quality control coach. He joined the 49ers after two years (2021-22) at Division III Case Western Reserve University where he worked as an assistant defensive line coach (2021) and outside linebackers coach (2022).

In 2024, Brown assisted a 49ers defense that finished with the fifth-ranked passing defense (192.8) and the eighth-ranked total defense (317.4) in the NFL. He worked closely with the defensive line, which was led by DL Nick Bosa (9.0 sacks) and DL Leonard Floyd (8.5 sacks). With Brown's help, DL Maliek Collins tied his career high with 5.0 sacks and DL Sam Okuayinonu registered a career-high 3.5 sacks.
