Background

Chase Blackburn was named assistant special teams coach on Feb. 12, 2026. He spent the last three seasons (2023-25) as special teams coordinator with the Los Angeles Rams, whose unit tied for the league lead with four blocked kicks in 2024. Blackburn previously coached special teams for the Tennessee Titans (2022) and Carolina Panthers (2016-21), rising to coordinator. As a player he spent 10 seasons at linebacker, mostly with the New York Giants, and won two Super Bowls. He graduated from Akron with a degree in mathematics.
