Background

A coaching veteran with more than two decades of NFL and collegiate experience, Clint Hurtt was hired by the Eagles as senior defensive assistant/defensive line coach in 2024 and added the title of associate head coach during the 2026 offseason. In 2025 his defensive tackles thrived: Jalen Carter made the Pro Bowl and Jordan Davis broke out with career highs in tackles, pressures and sacks. In his first campaign, Hurtt's interior line anchored the No. 1 total defense (278.4 ypg) in the NFL during Philadelphia's Super Bowl LIX run, leading the league in pass-rush grade and pass-rush win rate per Pro Football Focus.
