Dave Huxtable was hired by the Atlanta Falcons as a senior defensive assistant on Feb. 27, 2023. In 2024 he assisted in the development of Atlanta's outside linebackers, and in 2023 the Falcons defense finished third in third-down defense and fourth in red zone efficiency while doubling its sack total from the prior year. Huxtable brought 40 seasons of collegiate coaching experience, including 18 as a defensive coordinator at schools such as NC State, Pittsburgh, UCF and North Carolina, plus analyst stints at Alabama and Texas.
