Miami Dolphins Offensive Coordinator
Quick Facts
- Role: Offensive Coordinator
- Team: [[Miami Dolphins]] (MIA)
- Current holder: Bobby Slowik (Shanahan tree)
- Coaching tree: Shanahan/49ers branch; see [[Coaching Trees]]
Background
Slowik was the Houston Texans' offensive coordinator in 2023-24, where he helped C.J. Stroud win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Texans' offense slipped from 12th in yards (2023) to 22nd (2024), leading to his firing. Spent 2025 as Miami's senior passing-game coordinator under Anthony Weaver's staff before being elevated to OC. Disciple of Kyle Shanahan.
CBS Sports graded the hire A- and called Slowik "the best offensive mind Houston had in the DeMeco Ryans era."
Scheme and Tendencies
Shanahan-style: precise route-runners, in-breaking routes, YAC. Has never had a run-first QB like Malik Willis — that's a real wrinkle. Skill group is sparse after the Hill release, Waddle trade, and only De'Von Achane as a proven weapon.
