2026 Outlook

Dolphins rookie receiver with freakish physical tools. At 6'3.5" with a 4.39 40-yard dash, Douglas is the fastest and tallest receiver in Miami's wide receiver room (also includes Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert, Tutu Atwell, and injured Chris Bell). In college at Texas Tech, Douglas posted 1,723 yards and 13 touchdowns in 27 games (15.1 yards per attempt), with 11 of his 16 touchdowns coming from inside the red zone. Shows strong yards-after-catch ability (5.3 YAC per reception in 2025). Primary concern is ball security—Douglas had six drops last year and has reportedly struggled with drops at OTAs. However, drops are fixable with development and practice. New QB Malik Willis and the lack of established WR threats on the Dolphins roster means Douglas could have Year 1 opportunities. The team has all season to develop chemistry given no playoff pressure expected. (per Fantasy Football Rookie Sleepers)

Fantasy evaluators including Heath Cummings (CBS Sports) see Douglas as an early-season fantasy prospect—Cummings took him in the third round of his rookie-only mock draft. Expected to be on the field early for Miami in 2026. (per Two Dolphins rookies earning some respect from fantasy football expert - Yahoo Sports)

Late June assessment: ESPN's Bill Barnwell described the Dolphins receiving corps as "the worst receiving corps I've seen assembled on purpose by an NFL team in recent memory," with Douglas likely to be "pushed into the lineup by midseason" due to the lack of veteran depth. This pessimistic view of the position group could either create opportunity for Douglas's Year 1 impact or expose the weakness of Miami's passing game altogether (per Dolphins Potential 2026 Offense Hit With Brutal Grade).

Role / Depth Chart

Competing for reps in a wide-open Dolphins receiver room. Red-zone production at college level makes him a candidate for meaningful touches in the Dolphins' offense if drop issues improve.

Injury Status

Healthy.
