2026 Outlook

Roster bubble threat after three disappointing seasons (833 yards, 49 catches total). Two new rookie WRs drafted ahead of him (KC Concepcion in Round 1, Denzel Boston in Round 2) means Tillman is competing for spot. Best production was 2024 with 49 targets and 339 yards, but hasn't developed as hoped. Injury history (hamstring issues, concussions) combined with new competition and his failure to be a red-zone target or third-down weapon puts his 2026 status in serious jeopardy. (per 2026 Browns offseason: Veterans on the hot seat after the NFL draft)

The Browns have nearly zero financial leverage against Tillman—his contract carries no guaranteed money heading into 2026, and he could be cut or traded for $3.6M in cap savings. He had a proven performance escalator in his contract that would have pushed his salary over $3.5M if he hit it, but the organization needs to free roster spots for the ascending young receiver Isaiah Bond and the new draft picks. If he makes the team, expect a significant pay-cut negotiation. (per 10 Browns players whose contracts could make them expendable in 2026)

By June 10, Tillman's roster battle was viewed as nearly decided against him. Dawg Pound Daily identified him as likely cut or traded to free space for Boston and Concepcion, with his $3.6M salary an easy target for cap relief. Tillman is projected for the No. 5 WR role at best, which Cleveland cannot justify funding at his current cap hit. Fantasy managers should treat him as a risky sleeper pick dependent on a trade landing him in a better offensive situation (per 10 Browns players whose contracts could make them expendable in 2026).

Role / Depth Chart

Previously penciled in as starting outside WR ("X"), now in a logjam with Jeudy, Boston, and Concepcion. Risk of being cut or traded before roster cutdown.

Injury Status

Battling hamstring and concussion history. Missed games in each of his three NFL seasons.
