2026 Outlook
Acquired in free agency by the Cowboys after stint with Arizona Cardinals. Thompson joins a Dallas secondary overhaul aimed at defensive improvement. At June OTAs, working off to the side with the rehab group while recovering from a pectoral strain (described as "nothing crazy" by HC Brian Schottenheimer). Thompson represents a strong IDP value pick for 2026. He has recorded at least 58 solo tackles in five straight seasons and could push to crack his career high of 79 tackles (set in 2021-2022). Now without Budda Baker creating competition, Thompson has a clear path to solidify himself as a DB1 in IDP leagues.
